Giving the impression of a Tim Burton’s story, The Legend of the Scarecrow is a sort of classic tale of a Frankenstein dressed up as a scarecrow that tells as about loneliness, and impossibility to make friends and be liked.
Narrator’s voice belongs to Spanish actor Sancho Gracia, who would be called again by the director for his documentary Barreiros, Human Engine (2008).
This is the third short film by director from Madrid Marco Besas after have directed The Number (2001) and De Buena tinta (2004).
Short film was awarded with the Silver Melies at Fantasporto Festival 2006, best animation short film at Short Film Festival of Los Angeles, and Honorable Mention at 78th Academy Awards (Oscars), nominated for Premios Goya, as well as many others as Honorable Mention at International Film Festival of Cleveland.
